EYES Infants Program (6 Weeks To 18 Months)

EYES experienced and compassionate staff offers a stimulating and nurturing environment for infants in safe and secure environment that has been designed for infants.

Infants in group care have opportunities for early socialization and stimulation. We believe that every experience is a learning experience, and infants are cared for in a way that optimizes their opportunities for learning and social interaction throughout the day.

Our loving and friendly staff works collaboratively with parents to make sure the child is comfortable and following the same daily schedule as at home, this includes feeding times, nap times and play times.

EYES infant program is observed by management on a regular basis to ensure the highest quality of care and that we are providing activities that encourage and foster child’s development.

Parents are responsible for providing diapers, wipes, creams, blankets, indoor shoes, extra clothes, water bottle and milk bottle all of which must be labelled with the child’s name. Any formula and/or baby food must include the date, name and be in the original container.

EYES Pre-School (30 Months To 6 Years)

Our qualified and caring staff guide pre-school children in an inspiring environment. EYES preschool program is designed to help prepare children for kindergarten. We believe that every child is different, and we encourage them to be responsible, independent and interactive at their own pace.

EYES Toddlers (15 Months To 30 Months)

EYES Toddlers are guided through this phase of their development in a warm and stimulating atmosphere.

Here at EYES Childcare, we believe that children learn through play. We provide consistency in routines and daily experiences that encourage toddlers to feel secure while exploring their surroundings. EYES Toddlers play has a serious purpose and our trained and qualified staff allow the indoor and outdoor play to be driven by the child’s interests.

Children in the toddler room are encouraged to cooperate and act independently while developing cognitive, problem-solving skills, language development, communication and social skills. The Toddler room is set up in a way that encourages children to develop a wide range of child’s skill, such as role play, gross motor, problem solving, discovering, imagining, communicating and so on.

In EYES Toddler room the staff also helps children to be more independent in feeding himself, telling his needs and requirements, potty training etc. so that the child is gradually ready to be transitioned in the preschool room.

Jessica Yik – Director

With over 25 years of experience in the world of dance, Jessica has dedicated her career to working with individuals of all ages. As the artistic director and co-owner of a community-focused dance studio for over 14 years, she played an instrumental role in fostering a love for dance among her students. Today, she continues to teach with the same passion and enthusiasm that has defined her career.

As a mother of two young children, Jessica strongly believes in the power of nurturing relationships to facilitate learning. She places a particular emphasis on kindness and self-improvement in her teaching approach, recognizing their importance in cultivating not just better dancers, but better individuals.

Nelson Yik-EYES-childcare-director

Nelson Yik – Director

Throughout his life, Nelson has been dedicated to cultivating growth and learning for people of all ages. As a young individual, he organized and managed sports and computer summer camps for children between the ages of 5 and 12 at Seneca College. Most recently, he is utilizing his 20+ years of software experience, gained after graduating from the University of Waterloo, to lead a dedicated team of software developers as the Vice-President of Software Development at a Canadian company.

As a father of two young children, Nelson understands the significance of laying the foundation for their future success. He truly believes that fostering healthy relationships and offering guidance from an early age is essential in the development of any child.

EYES Day Care Director - Jeff

Jeff Yee – Director

Jeff is an accomplished Test Automation Development Manager, currently employed with a leading tech company in Waterloo. With over two decades of experience in software engineering and as an alumnus of the University of Waterloo, Jeff has acquired a wealth of knowledge and expertise in his field.

As a father of two, Jeff prioritizes spending quality time with his children, particularly by accompanying them to their dance and music activities. He recognizes the importance of nurturing relationships in a child’s development, and he firmly believes that consistency in these relationships is critical for fostering intellectual and social growth.

Riza Yee – Director

Riza has gained extensive expertise in software engineering, with a career spanning over 20 years. She currently serves as a Team Lead at a technology company located in Kitchener, leveraging her degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.

Apart from her professional pursuits, Riza is a dedicated mother of two children who excel in academics and the arts. Her experience as a parent has further reinforced her belief in the value of a well-rounded education that nurtures development in all areas.

Riza has a natural talent for working with children and is committed to creating a safe and stimulating environment that fosters learning and personal growth.
